Wine List: Summer 2020

The idea of a crisp wine is complementary to the feeling of summer. A refreshing glass of rose or white sounds like an antidote to a hot summer’s day. While there may be less opportunity to sip new wines at wine bars or restaurants, the opportunities of choice are endless as you become your own sommelier this summer. We have curated a list of our favorite summer wines so you can indulge and relax outside.

1. Château de Sancerre Sancerre 2018

Based out of Loire, France, the renowned Marnier-Lapostolle family, is known for its world-renowned liquor, Grande Marnier. This floral Sancerre was created with the family's rich expertise in distilling. This wine is extra dry and coats the palate with a crisp and juicy finish. With subtle hints of fresh and lemon, this white wine is well balanced which makes it palatable to any kind of wine drinker.

2. Gerard Bertand Languedoc ‘Cote des Roses’ Rose, France 2015

A rose that is composed of complex flavors that combine Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah into a classically stylized wine. With the family's deep understanding of the best terroirs of France, the Bertrand family specializes in creating and perfect wines from the south of France. This complex combination of herbal notes, red currants, and citrus create a refreshing taste, perfect for the warmer summer days where lounging in the sun is the most desired activity.

3. Joie Noble Blend

Tucked away in the vineyards of British Columbia, JoieFarm Winery first began as a winery that specializes in vintage wines. Their unique flavors fared well and were expressive in cooler climates. Their Noble Blend is an Edelzwicker and pays homage to the traditional blend in German culture. This crisp white wine is a unique combination of Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, and Muscat which allows the flavors of guava, nutmeg, and clove to shine through.

Whether you are enjoying a glass of rose or a crisp glass of white wine this summer, enjoy refreshing wines in the comfort of your own outdoor space. Feel inspired to curate the perfect space for hosting guests and loved ones by exploring our outdoor contemporary pieces.
