How to design the perfect work-from-home office

New year, new office. Start the new year off right with a modern and productive home office. Make the most out of your work-from-home space with these tips:

Go for a neutral palette

When decorating your home office you want to create a calm, serene space without too much distraction. Pick a modern office desk and chair in neutral tones like our Cascadia Desk in Alabaster Concrete and our Mia Dining Chair in Pearl, Chatou Bouclé Wool for an elevated yet tranquil space.

Consider the size of your office

When figuring out what kind of office furniture you’ll need you’ll want to think about the size of your space and if you’ll have enough space to walk around your office desk and chair. If you don’t have as much space but still want to make a statement, opt for a compact version of a desk you like, like our Augustus Desk Compact in Black Marble with Walnut Veneer.

Add extra storage

If you have space think about adding a contemporary sideboard or storage unit like our Augustus Sideboard in White Marble and Walnut, in your office to hide away anything you don’t want out in the open and can also be a place for you to display your art and décor pieces.

Pick office furniture that fits your style

The focal point of any home office is the desk, when designing your office consider how the desk compliments your interior design style and the other pieces of furniture in your work-from-home space. Add a sense of luxury to your office with a minimal and sleek desk with gold accents like our Arlo Desk in Glossy White Lacquer and pair it with a plush, upholstered chair in a similar tone like our Nova Lounge Chair in Alesund for a sophisticated look.
