With the holidays fast approaching, we know it can be overwhelming getting your home ready for dinner parties and entertaining. Whether it is your first time hosting or your millionth time hosting, we have a few tips that will help you create a warm and inviting home for the holidays.

Consider the overall look of the space

One of the first things your guests will notice when taking in your space is the look of your space. Create dimension and visual appeal to your dining space by decorating with a neutral linen tablecloth, incorporating some natural textures like fresh fir, cedar, or white pine, and adding candles. Pairing these intriguing elements together with a luxuriant dining chair in a plush material and contrasting brass metal like our Solana Dining Chairs in Latte, Venice Vegan Suede for a sophisticated and elegant space.

Create a warm ambiance with a scent

Synonymous with the holidays, the inviting aromas of balsam, pine, and baked goods can evoke a feeling of familiarity and warmth. Set the tone by placing some candles or scent diffusers around your entertaining spaces.

Add some soft, textural elements to your dining space by using plush, cushioned dining chairs in a contrasting color and material like the Angelo Dining Chair in Pearl, Chatou Bouclé Wool for some visual and textural interest.

Figure out the background music or sound

Sound is an important factor when it comes to having a dinner party, it can be the last determining factor in the overall ambiance and feel of a space. Whether you are playing a curated soundtrack, having a piano playing or you’re using natural elements like a crackling wood-burning fireplace or the serene sound of a flowing water fountain, adding some background music or sound can immediately change the mood.
